Abstract:
In this paper, we explore the idea of incorporating interlingual interference consideration practice into the paradigm of modern language learning. Emphasized is the instrumental role of observation, comparison, and the teaching-practicing-controlling approach by revealing the similarities or differences in the teaching material of the technical field in English and Russian. The work investigates the cognitive and linguistic advantages imparted by the approach, which include the enhancement of all speech activity skills, especially, reinforcement of spontaneous speech, amplification of vocabulary retention, and facilitation of sentence structure understanding. Furthermore, the article scrutinizes how interlingual interference consideration practice can elevate the quality of the whole process of communication, rendering it faster and enabling the language learners to effectively express their thoughts. For instance, observation and comparison approaches are capable of mastering of genitive chains, non-prepositional phrases consisting of two or more nouns. Moreover, this method allows acquiring knowledge and skills of using two of more component terms. By such practice it is possible to provide a wide scope of training exercises, amending the level of difficulty bespoke to learners' progress; cumulatively encouraging motivation and continuous evolution. The teaching-practicing-controlling approach is aimed at appropriate conveying the meanings of lexical units by a representative of one language group when speaking with a representative of another language group, taking into account the grammatical and lexical rules of their native languages. In conclusion, an effective methodology of teaching translation via interlingual interference consideration practice is introduced in this research. The targeted aim of the study was the development and implementation of a set of exercises and tasks that are capable of developing students’ abilities and skills in all types of speech activity. Consequently, use of the observation, comparison, and the teaching-practicing-controlling approach by the interlingual interference consideration practicing enables the enhancement of spontaneous speech skills of language learners during their conversations on professional issues which could contribute to promote the cooperation between multilingual specialists of all fields and industries.
