Abstract:
The textbook, as students, teachers, blackboard, is a typical element of School. This resource, that has been used for hundreds of years, is now, due to the abrupt technological transformation, changing. This article presents some of the characteristics of the printed manual, indicating some software tools that are being used to replace or complement it. Moreover, we note some advantages and disadvantages of the digital manual, reflecting on the characteristics that should define it.
Both the concept of the textbook as the object to which it refers are currently changing due to the constant technological transformation. This article presents; a) some of the characteristics of conventional printed manual; b) the current digital tools that are being used to replace or complement it; c) advantages and disadvantages of digital manual; d) some thoughts on the features that digital textbooks should present in the context of new learning paradigms underlying the educational use of digital resources.
