Abstract:
The article deals with the measurement of technical quantities that are important for design not only machine components but also whole mechanisms. It is intended for technical school teachers who try to explain to students the principle of analog and digital methods of measuring physical quantities using specific examples. It is important for students of technical schools to know what measurements are being carried out on different types of mechanisms, but also how to do them. Teachers can use either an analogue measurement method or a modern digital method. The article compares the informative value of both types of measurement from the student's point of view. As an example of the measurement, the constant and accelerated motion of the rigid body was chosen. By measuring motion, the position, velocity and acceleration of the rigid body can be obtained. It turns out that older methods of measuring of technical quantities are more advantageous for students not only for understanding the principle of measurement but also for understanding the structure of the measuring device.
