Abstract:
The main purpose of this paper is introduction and demonstration of possibilities of the Learning Management System (LMS) which has been developed, implemented and still used at the Jan Perner Transport Faculty at the University of Pardubice in Czech Republic. The system is primarily focused on possibilities of examining the students. Many types of questions can be used in tests (with one correct answer, more correct answers, text filling, selections etc.). Examination tests can be assigned to individuals as well as to groups of students. The results achieved are statistically evaluated according to several criteria in a synoptical report. For students there is a significant feedback, immediately after filling the test student gets the information about topics which he should study (where he made mistakes in his test).
In praxis this system is used primarily in a part-time study, as an additional source of study materials is also used in a full-time study. In the area of study materials publication, system allows to publish materials in the form of web pages that distinctly simplifies the course creation. Possibilities of electronic study aids are amplified in a publish area, more variety in educational process is realized which finally leads to the higher level of attractiveness and interest for students.
System has been realized and is still implemented like an open system which can be continuously complemented by other modules and adjusted to actual requirents of education. System also can be connected with other study information systems. Keywords:
