Abstract:
Under the speed of changes in the contemporary social world, with a dynamic and complex relationship between processes of economic globalization, cultural interaction and political reorganization, it is evident the inability to disciplinary approaches to build knowledge appropriate responses to the actual problems and their complexity.
Therefore, in this paper I will present a program of higher learning for research and development of interdisciplinary projects, which is capable to respond to complex social phenomena, past, present and possible paths in the XXI century. This Ph.D. program consists in interdisciplinary research groups. It is aimed to academic institutions of higher education that are committed to working in interdisciplinary projects. The doctoral program is focused on practice and exercise research, and training of high quality learning within a multidisciplinary space for encounter and dialogue between different forms of approximation to the specific problems that can be studied with the approach of complex systems.

At the same time, we propose a high level of training in knowledge culture, with a strong epistemological training in order to identify practical problems, asking relevant questions, structuring research problems and get answers from knowledge. Also we develop a high level of training in network culture, which involves a high capacity for coordination with digital technologies, which allows the construction of scientific knowledge in collaboration. Finally, we propose a high level of training in information culture with high matrix systems thinking and organized under a complex empirical systems perspective, conceived as an interdisciplinary activity. Also achieves a culture technology that allows the use of information and communication technologies as generative platforms reflexivity and local, regional, national or global knowledge.

Some differences between a classical program and this PhD program:

A classical PhD program
• Institutional program
• Disciplinary program and high specialty
• It is part of a traditional and institutional structure
• It has a traditional structure
• It has lectures and seminaries
• PhD students have thesis individual tutorials
• There is a tutor – student relationship
• The main element is individual research
• Each student Works in its individual study object.
• Products are individual PhD Thesis
• Universities have high professor supports
• There are a high level of desertion

Sciences and Humanities Ph.D. program on interdisciplinary development

• Interinstitucional Program (Research groups interconnected around all country)
• Interdisciplinary program
• It is part of an institutional structure but it borns as a management strategy for new academic groups.
• Institutional structure accepts new ways to produce knowledge.
• It has a flexible structure in terms of methodology in order to have results.
• Each node/problem and each research group decides their own dynamic.
• We have permanent epistemology, interdisciplinary, complex systems and ciberculture seminaries.
• We have developed projects workshops.
• Collectives and interdisciplinary projects which response to the node/problems.
• In this program there is a research community network.
• All of groups are part of this network.
