Abstract:
With the rapid development of digital technology, new media technology has been born in the 21st century and brought about extremely profound and revolutionary changes to modern society, the state, and everyday life through its sensitivity and speed, its mass, interactive, subjective, and social nature. Due to the proliferation of new media in the context of the Internet, education has been informative, and the flipped learning method of teaching has developed rapidly. Bill Gates has described flipped learning as a teaching method that envisions the future of education. Flipped learning is a method of teaching that reverses the roles of teaching inside the classroom and outside it. Flipped learning combines online content with traditional classroom learning by providing content primarily online before class and giving learners the freedom to work on problem-solving or collaborative learning activities during class time with the instructor's guidance. In addition, cross-cultural communication plays an increasingly important role as globalisation and integration are becoming increasingly global and interconnected. Foreign language teaching should be a part of the integration of language and cultural education; after all, language is the carrier of culture, and culture is the soul of language.

Keeping up with the times requires intercultural education to keep up, and this article examines the necessity and feasibility of flipped learning in language. However, the author also points out that students can prepare themselves to participate in intercultural foreign language classes in this personalized foreign language learning process. The purpose of flipped learning is to increase motivation in foreign language learning through multimedia resources. The author of the article asserts that flipped learning in foreign languages is a conceptual framework that draws upon a variety of teaching and learning theories. Its most essential component is to provide students with the opportunity to develop knowledge through constructive experiences, peer interactions, and collaboration with their peers.

With the development of online educational resources and the development of information technology, this method of teaching foreign languages has become possible. The essence of the program is to integrate online digital education with offline classroom teaching, focusing on learner-centred learning and allowing learners to bring their initiative and creativity to the learning process to become more effective at teaching. In such an environment, students can choose the time, means, and place to view learning materials before class begins. The responsibility is transferred from the teacher to the student, creating an environment where the student is the primary focus. However, this type of teaching and learning does not mean that teachers have no role to play; rather, they play their part by understanding the needs of students and facilitating their participation in deep learning activities that build knowledge. As a result, the flipped learning approach transforms the classroom into an interactive platform where information is transformed into knowledge and experience.
