Abstract:
Development of the global knowledge-based economy and the highly competitive environment for the development of modern technologies place increasing demands on universities for the education system and the preparation of future graduates for the performance of their profession. Ensuring a qualified workforce for increasing the competitiveness and sustainable economic growth of the country is a challenge not only for Slovakia but for all countries of the world.
Faculty of Security Engineering, University of Zilina (FSE UNIZA) has a special interest in education being based on information and research results and in an environment surrounded by research. It concerns the European project titled „ICT-SKILLS" solved within the Erasmus+ program, Key action 2: Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices, and the domestic project Innovation and internationalization of teaching as a tool for increasing the quality of education at the FSE UNIZA, financed by the Cultural and educational grant agency of the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sports of the Slovak Republic.
