Abstract:
Today, the prospects for economic, political and cultural interaction of various countries with Russian Federation have increased the interest and the need for foreigners to study Russian. Therefore, at the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication of Kazan Federal University, Master's degree program “Philology: Russian as a Foreign Language” has been opened. Graduates of the program can work in various educational institutions, linguistic centers, travel agencies, the media, as well as carry out cultural and educational projects.
The aim of the research was to form the linguistic and information competence of foreign MA students studying "Computer science" course in Russian. Based on the analysis of the concepts “linguistic competence” and “information competence”, the content of the concept “linguistic and information competence” was clarified.
Basing on the methodology of Content and language integrated learning (CLIL) the authors disclosed the structure of linguistic and information competence: Motivation, Content, Cognition, Professional activity, Communication, Culture. In accordance with the structure of the linguistic and information competence, the selection and structuring of the content of the "Computer science" course was carried out, the main types of educational tasks of the course were developed. Considering blended learning principle the authors developed the information and educational environment of the course that had been experimentally tested.
Monitoring of the results of the formation of the linguistic and information competence of foreign MA students had been carried out according to the results of the current (entrance testing, monitoring of progress) and final control (final testing) of academic performance of students within the “Computer science” course based on the point-rating system. The analysis of experimental data had shown that the linguistic and information competence of foreign MA students was formed mainly at the average and high levels.
