Abstract:
Nowadays there are many higher education institutions providing a great variety of educational service including a major range of different professions and training programs. Thus it is the matter of the conscious choice and self identity of enrollees, development of their professional interests which aids to determine the field of study at high school.

Career orientation activity which is closely connected with the professionally oriented enrollees is the key element at the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication (IPhIC) of Kazan Federal University. Therefore, IPhIC is carrying out an active extensive work with students of secondary schools, educational institutions of elementary and secondary vocational education. This work is aimed at ensuring continuity of the levels of education and involving students in high educational establishment.

This article observes passive and active methods of career-guidance work aimed at professional self identity both of pupils and students. The examples of implementation of the individual career-oriented activities held by IPhIC are also described. Based on the analysis of the carried out events, the most effective methods and forms of the career-guidance have been revealed. The main course of the successful vocational guidance program within a university has been highlighted. Recommendations for the increase of the effective career orientation activity within a high school have been formulated.

The authors of the article describe the experience of the Department of Educational Technologies and Information Systems in the field of Philology at IPhIC in organization of the career-oriented activity with the enrollees and students of IPhIC focused on philologists’ professional self identity training in the Programs of “Philology” and “Pedagogical Education” able to use information technologies in their career.
