INNOVATION IN PREPARATION OF TEACHERS-TO-BE FOR THEIR PROFESSION

Abstract:
Preparation for a teacher's profession is realized in Europe based on different models and scenarios. The text of the paper will name and describe the reflective model of teacher training at the Faculty of Humanities at Tomas Bata University in Zlín, which from the outset monitors the motivation and identity of the teacher of primary education. We want to contribute to the study of the requirements for preparation for the teaching profession, which respect the personality of the student from the beginning of the studies. It will describe identified factors of motivation for the profession in the first year of study. It will assess the developmental and risk factors that occur in students at the entrance to the professional teacher's course.

A research survey was carried out by 18 students of the first year of a branch of study Lower Primary School Teacher Training through of the thematic writing method. The results suggest that the motive for the profession is usually long-term. Other important factors in the choice of the teacher's profession are role models, communication from practice teachers, student awareness of deeper values and the mission of the profession, as well as their own experience with teaching or remedial lessons.
