Abstract:
In this paper we present an analysis of the implementation of Degree studies at the Pablo de Olavide University (POU) (Seville, Spain). This evaluates the results of the learning process. To do so, we analyze a series of quantified variables for students enrolled in different degrees during the academic courses of 2009-10, 2010-11 and 2011-12. For this study, we set out from official data published by the Open Data POU initiative. The aim of this initiative is for certain data of the POU to be available to citizens and businesses, thereby ensuring the transparency of the University and encouraging the reuse of public sector information.

To complete the study, we relate the evolution of the grades obtained with the Teaching Innovation Projects that Pablo de Olavide University has been implementing during these last three academic years. We believe that these evaluation and methodological innovations are a clear reflection of the improvement of the teaching-learning process and the students’ acquisition of skills.
