Abstract:
Nowadays, technology is a fixed part of the world and surrounds people every day. Technical education therefore represents a solid and irreplaceable part of general and professional education with the aim of raising a technically literate person competent in the use of technology. A positive attitude towards technology and the use of technology in life is formed by learning about the usefulness of technology and its meaningful use in dealing with common life situations. During learning activities, students appropriately connect knowledge from other educational areas. Students solve didactic problems through active activities with the support of the teacher, use appropriate tools and aids, cooperate and share experience with one another, train psychomotoric skills, learn diligence and technological discipline. Students gradually learn to think technically. This approach supports the principle of learning in context and forming a holistic view of the world. Students are encouraged to deepen their own imagination, create unusual ideas and their subsequent practical materialization at a level corresponding to their current possibilities, especially the level of psychological and physical development. In all activities, students meaningfully use the most modern technologies, including the digital ones.
