Abstract:
Teaching Architectural Design requires the use of methodologies that favor a productive work environment through collaborative techniques that enhance the flow of ideas. Due to the situation of blended teaching at the university caused by the Coronavirus, new collaborative virtual tools have been used to maintain these methodologies, allowing social distancing, the lack of presence of part of the students that attended classes online and the impossibility of sharing materials in class. The aim was ensuring the interaction of students during the workshop, as well as the supervision of the professors, assuring a new digital environment that provides students new tools for collaborative design. The paper analyzes the effects of the new tools used to achieve these objectives, following the guidelines of the methodology called Design Thinking. It has been tested the receptivity to these interactive tools by the students and their usefulness to allow them to get involved in teamwork activities, favoring dynamics that also helped them to value the perspectives and solutions of others students in the classroom to reach a consensus in making decisions that imply a better final result.
