Abstract:
The implementation of the new degrees during the academic year 2010-2011 has lead to the first classes of graduates.

Initial results suggest the need to make a revision of the current syllabus as well as the teaching methodology. Although the assessment by means of continuous evaluation in all subjects aimed at students getting substantially more involved in their own teaching-learning process, achieved results seem to be far from the desired ones.

In fact, students in their last academic year, as well as those who have already finished their degree, have provided a low response rate regarding satisfaction with the degree, and the humble scores given make it clear that there are a number of elements to be improved.
Taking into account this situation, and in order to introduce significantly different changes in the methodology regarding the assessment of student’s performance, a new electronic polling system has been implemented during the current academic year for the subject Basic Statistics in the Double Degree “ADE-Derecho” in the Universidad de Valencia. This way it is possible for both teacher and student to get an immediate feedback of their answers and degree of understanding.

Results show clear stability in the number of attendants and participants, as well as an improvement of their performance.
