Abstract:
Knowing, mastering and applying the Basic Documents on Energy Saving and Health of the Technical Building Code (CTE-DB-HE and CTE-DB-HS) is essential to calculate and design basic mechanical installations in the building sector. The knowledge and skills necessary to calculate and design such installations are acquired by students of the Degree in Mechanical Engineering in the subject "Basic Mechanical Installations".
This paper presents the innovative activities carried out and the main results of the incorporation of deliverable practices related to the subject. The deliverable practices are suitable assessment instruments for professional skills with which, in addition to improving the teaching-learning process and facilitating advancements in the process, both the motivation of and results produced by students improve.
For the incorporation of these deliverable practices, the teachers designed two models of deliverable practice, one focused on the CTE-DB-HE and another focused on the CTE-DB-HS, taking into account the knowledge and professional skills specific to the subject. In addition, the teachers developed various technical guides, documentation and case studies; developed rubrics to assess professional skills; and prepared a final anonymous questionnaire.
The teachers developed the following activities for the CTE-DB-HE and the CTE-DB-HS with the students: they imparted all the necessary knowledge to know how to apply the CTE-DB-HE and the CTE-DB-HS; studied and analysed various practical cases; and carried out two deliverable practices. Finally, the teachers evaluated the deliverable practices carried out by the students.
In addition to the two models of deliverable practice, the supplementary material developed, the rubrics to assess professional skills and the final anonymous questionnaire, the grades obtained in the deliverable practices and the success rate were the other results obtained. Keywords:
