Abstract:
In recent years, as a result of the technological revolution, which has occurred during the past few decades, new researching and learning methods have been developed. Terms like e-Research and e-learning can be considered as a direct result of the application of the new technologies to the research and educational processes in Research Centres and Universities all over the world.
Bioinformatics Web Tools is an e-Science infrastructure project, which is being developed in collaboration between the Center for Biomedical Research (CIBIR) and Scientific Computing Group (GRUCACI). This infrastructure will provide Bioinformatics support so as to collect, store and analyse biological data through the Internet as well as e-Learning facilities for researchers in the life science field. This project will facilitate the creation of research and user communities and interlinking relationships. Furthermore, this intellectual and social dynamics environment will allow biology and computer science specialist and non-specialist audiences to collaborate, as well as making optimum use of knowledge, human and material resources. Keywords:
