The present academic course 2008-2009, a group of professors of the Research Group: Matemática Aplicada a la Ingeniería Civil (MAIC) of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid is carrying out some activities relatives to the educational innovation. In this paper we comment one of them: Mathematics through Cartoons. Our intention has been that the students perceive the mathematics as a component of our environment and of our culture, not exclusively an academic issue. We have also tried that they integrate their mathematical knowledge naturally in different activities, as well as that they were able to find the mathematics in aspects so picturesque as the series or movies of cartoons.
The present work wants to transmit the results of this experience as well as to show, through one of the movies we have used, the point of view that we have given to the activity.
