Abstract:
Open Educational Resources (OER), according to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), are defined as any teaching, learning, or research materials that have been made available under an open license that allows unlimited use, sharing and modification without restrictions. All educational levels, including elementary, secondary, higher secondary, higher education, professional, technical education, and even research, have experienced large use of open educational resources. The number of open educational resources available on the Internet for the teaching Mathematics has increased in recent years. As a result, some authors have proposed various methods of categorization, including lists of subjects, algorithms for classification, and semantic enrichment for the use of open data. Nevertheless, these studies are scattered throughout the literature making the current state of the art unclear. The current study provides an overview of the concept and important components with an illustration of open educational resources for Mathematics. The main findings were the systematization of the most important OER sources for Mathematics. Keywords:
Open Educational Resources (OERs), Mathematics, Higher Education.
