Abstract:
The European Area of Higher Education has carried out in the assumption of new learning models focused on the autonomous work of the students for the acquisition of general and specific competencies based on the constructivist approach of knowledge. Nevertheless, taking responsibility of the organisation and development of the academic work by the students would be a gradual process. Professors should guide them through it. Hence, our educational proposal presents autonomous work activities implemented by using New Technologies of the Information and Communication (NTIC) for the World Economics discipline in the Economics Degree. Obviously, we take into account the knowledge on Quantitative Methods acquired by the students in prior courses in order to follow a constructivist approach of learning-teaching process. These activities complement face-to-face learning and allow us to take advantage of the b-learning. Furthermore, the domain of NTIC is essential for the future employability of the students and facilitates interactivity and the immediate feedback on developments of the teaching-learning process, that is, the continuous evaluation of university students. The selected sources of information allow the application of this proposal to bilingual teaching.
