Abstract:
Heritage and cultural richness of Mexico is abundant. That is why it has been object of study worldwide by institutions such as UNESCO. Heritage is defined as all that which is the legacy of past generations, and make part of individual or social goods and are worth to be conserved. In Mexico, the State of Tabasco is rich culturally speaking, since it holds traditions and deep-seated values that can gain strength and be reinterpreted in globalization. This work aims to set parameters in the education and the dissemination of these cultural values to the society particularly in education at a higher level, so this research is exploratory reflective type, where the lack of knowledge of cultural values and the application in the exercise of the architecture is denoted. An analysis of the positions taken by civilizations with similar characteristics is made, but they, contrary to the Mexican society in general, provide love, respect and pride for the heritage preserved. The dissemination of cultural values and the contribution to its conservation can be ensured through education. The impact of this research is to propose changes in the Educational Program of the Major in Architecture of the Universidad Juárez Autónoma de Tabasco with the purpose that the learning is reflected in the work of future architects and thus to achieve the conservation of the heritage and cultural wealth that the country possesses.
