Abstract:
The main goal of the paper is to bring together the opinions of the bachelor's degree students of the Faculty of Education of the Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica on the education of 2-year-old children in kindergartens and on the perception of subjective readiness to work with 2-year-old children in kindergartens. To obtain data, an own questionnaire aimed at determining the subjective readiness of students to work with 2-year-old children was used. The research group consisted of 176 respondents studying both full-time and part-time. The results of the research pointed to the general readiness of female students to work with such children, but it is obvious that during the study there is no practice in classes for children of an early age and the study deals with them only on a theoretical level. Respondents also consider it appropriate to admit such a child to a kindergarten in a class for 2-3-year-old children when he no longer wears diapers. However, the prevailing opinion is that a 2-year-old child belongs to a nursery school.
