Abstract:
The paper presents the process of development of the pedagogical diagnostic instrument Profiler of Artistic Potential. The instrument is designed for teachers and parents of preschool children and it should help to identify a child's artistic potential. The instrument was up to now tested out on a sample of more than 300 respondents – students of the preschool and elementary pedagogy program during years 2020 – 2024. In the paper Development of a pedagogical diagnostic instrument “Profiler of artistic potential” (EDULEARN23) we showed how the interactive instrument can help student to better understand different manifestations of giftedness. We found that working with it helped to focus students' attention on the diversity of manifestations of artistic talent in the teaching process. There is also potential for misinterpretation of the results. We asked experimented art teachers how they understand the 54 statements and how they evaluate the test version of the instrument. We will show the partial results. We will focuse on the methodology of diagnostic instrument. The questionnaire in testing version is accessible at: https://mapanadania.aksay.sk/
