Abstract:

The paper present the development of the pedagogical diagnostic instrument Profiler of Artistic Potential intended for teachers and parents of preschool children. The goal of the instrument will be to provide experts and the public with a reliable means of identifying a child's artistic potential. At the current stage of development, content sensitivity testing of 54 statements is underway. Statement´s formulations were based on structured interviews with teachers in kindergartens. Sensitivity refers to whether a statement investigates what it is intended to do. Pilot testing of the tool was carried out on a sample of more than 200 respondents who are students of the preschool and elementary pedagogy program. This paper presents partial evaluations of various manifestations of preschool children with a borderline zone of school entry (from 3-7 years) are used. The results of the qualitative-quantitative study by which we verify the diagnostic instrument will be described in the text of the paper. The main goal of the paper is to show how this interactive instrument can help student to focus on different manifestations of giftedness.
