Abstract:
The evolution of the production systems, from the manufacturing production to the modern systems of today, is the result of the concerns for the improvement of the performances. The approaches of the last period are associated with the superior performance and the capacity of the system to obtain competitive advantages, known under different names: TQM, Lean management etc. Universities, by the nature of the processes carried out, have characteristics similar to production systems: they are open systems, complex, dynamic, probabilistic, etc. The differences in approach are given by the type of entrances, exits and the way in which the development of the basic processes (teaching-learning processes) is managed, which aims at transforming the entrances into exits - the transformation of high school graduates into universities graduates. A previous paper highlighted the idea that to improve the teaching process the teacher could use methods belonging to Lean management (5S) to efficiently manage time, teaching resources, work, creating the necessary premises for dialogue, creativity, trust between teacher and students. This article presents a research whose purpose is to identify the expectations and needs of students in order to increase motivation, autonomy in learning, but also to diversify the teaching strategy of the teacher - as prerequisites to help students in the process of learning, but also increasing the quality of the teaching-learning-assessment process. Keywords:
