Abstract:
Social and Digital Media forms an inextricably bound part of the educational system. Each Social Media platform provides a variety of manners in order to use them for educational purposes: live lectures, or message sharing. Social media is a valuable tool for teleworking and remote lecturing. It gives an opportunity for smooth and continuous working, and studies. One of the great merits of Social and Digital Media is easier and faster communication. Precisely, there is no need for students to wait physically in order to contact with their lecturers, colleagues, or classmates. This can be easily put into practice by using Social Media. Besides, Social and Digital Media is definitely of service to students and lecturers for their improvement in technological area. Social Media opens up opportunities for students to create content which may be shared, and strengthen social interrelationship. Therefore, it is of vital importance to ensure professional boundaries, and choose appropriate measures for that. Although Social Media was initially used rather for maintenance of interpersonal relationship, it plays a crucial role in the educational system of modern society. Social and Digital Media has changed and continues to change our thinking in Education. Furthermore, it alters the manner of educational system itself, revealing an increasingly growing tendency of applying Social Media in educational institutions. This Article provides a theoretical analysis of scientific sources, which examines an impact of Social and Digital Media in Education on the learning process. The research was carried out which disclosed what Social and Digital Media platforms are used and what is their impact on the learning process. The main objective of this Article – after conducting the analysis of scientific literature, find out how Social and Digital Media influences a quality of the learning process, and clearly distinguish which Social and Digital Media platforms are used in universities.Keywords:
