Abstract:
Virtual classroom is an online learning environment in where the educators and the learners learn together in real time and face-to-face but via Internet at different locations. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, virtual classroom has become a new norm in education industry either kindergarten schooling or university education. There are many online learning platforms have been introduced in the past few years and provide different kind of tools for educators and learners to enhance teaching and learning. However, it is still taking times for them to adapt these digital learning tools. Currently, shifting from physical face-to-face classroom to virtual classroom in a sudden has brought the challenges to another level especially for the students. In this paper, we would identify the challenges that faced by the students in our university and the ways that might help the students to keep engaged in the virtual classroom through a survey. Students from IT program of Multimedia University (MMU) will be involved in this survey for the study. Based on the feedback from the students, we can analyse the methods that might help the students to overcome the challenges that they face in their online learning.
