Abstract:
This study examined the gender differences on AI (Artificial Intelligence) literacy among college students. Two hundred and thirty-seven college students from multiple universities in China were invited to participate in an online survey focusing on three key areas: perceived understanding of AI, perceived ability to detect AI, and perceived understanding of AI ethics. Data analysis indicated that male students reported a higher level of perceived understanding of AI than female students. However, no significant gender differences were found in the other two areas. These findings suggest that although gender may be a factor that influences individuals’ perceived AI knowledge, actual abilities across genders could be more balanced. Keywords:
