Abstract:
Artificial intelligence (AI) chatbots have garnered unprecedented media attention in recent times due to their potential for task automation, personalized experiences, healthcare, service assistance, and, most importantly for this paper, in education and learning. This paper presents ten use cases and practical examples of the new possibilities that these tools offer in the teaching-learning process as an aid to both teachers and students. Specifically, we have identified ten tasks commonly performed by educators and learners, and demonstrated how the chatGPT tool can streamline their completion. Through this exploration, we aim to evaluate the potential and limitations of these tools as support for the teaching-learning process. To provide a comprehensive understanding of the capabilities of these tools, we have included conversations with the chatbot, illustrating how readers can interact with these tools to achieve their desired results. This prompting process is fundamental to obtain the expected outcomes. With this paper, we intend to encourage educators to overcome their reservations about incorporating AI tools into their classrooms, demonstrating how they can serve as a valuable asset in class preparation and student learning. It is worth noting that the product obtained from the chatbot should always undergo a subsequent review, as these tools are not 100% reliable and require human supervision. Given the nature of this work, we propose presenting it as a poster that links the ten use cases provided via QR codes to the respective conversations.
