Abstract:
Introduction:
Electoral fraud is a phenomenon that, unfortunately, has been a recurrent concern in several countries, including Ecuador. The perception of electoral fraud can have a significant impact on various aspects of society, including the educational sphere. This study focuses on analyzing how the perception of electoral fraud impacts education in Ecuador, using a representative sample of 2800 surveys conducted nationwide. The objective is to understand how this perception influences trust in the democratic system and civic participation of citizens, especially young people.
Political and Electoral Context in Ecuador.
In Ecuador, electoral processes have been marked by allegations of fraud and lack of transparency on several occasions over the years. These events have generated distrust in electoral institutions and have fueled the perception that the democratic system is not entirely fair and transparent. This situation has raised concerns about how this perception may affect other aspects of society, including education.

Impact on Education:
Education plays a fundamental role in the formation of active and committed citizens. However, when the perception of electoral fraud is present in the minds of citizens, it can have a negative impact on trust in the education system and on students' civic participation. Young people may feel disillusioned and demotivated to participate in civic and democratic activities if they perceive that the political system is not fair and transparent.

Perception Analysis:
The study analyzes in detail the results of the 2,800 surveys conducted, seeking to identify patterns and trends in public perception of electoral fraud and its relationship to education. Factors such as trust in electoral institutions, transparency of the electoral process and civic participation of citizens are examined. In addition, differences in perception between different demographic groups, such as youth and adults, urban and rural, among others, are explored.

Recommendations and Conclusions:
Based on the findings of the study, recommendations are proposed to address concerns about electoral fraud and its effects on education. These recommendations include measures to strengthen the transparency and integrity of the electoral process, as well as to promote stronger and more relevant civic education in schools. In addition, the importance of encouraging the active participation of young people in the political and civic life of the country is highlighted.
In conclusion, this study provides a detailed overview of the impact of electoral fraud on education in Ecuador, highlighting the need to address these concerns in order to strengthen democracy and promote an active and engaged citizenry. The results of the study can serve as a basis for informing public policies and educational practices that foster a more just, inclusive, and democratic society in Ecuador.
