Abstract:
The Special Physical Training in Security Forces study program is about education of university students with a specific focus on defense and personal protection. We point out the combat sports that are taught in this field and their health aspects, especially frequent injuries. These functional disorders can be caused by insufficient warm-up, preparation of the body for the load, incorrect posture, laterality, the development of muscle imbalances or the absence of final stretching. The aim of the paper is to identify functional disorders of the muscular system that occur in students engaged in selected combat sports, i.e. karate, boxing, kick boxing, wrestling and self-defense during classes. We assessed functional disorders according to standardized motor tests according to Neuman (2003), T1 – range of motion in the hip joint, T2 – lying forward, T3 – mobility of the spine and the back of the thighs, T4 – dynamic mobility of the trunk and T5 – mobility of the shoulder joints. Based on the measurement, we found that the probands showed significant deviations from the normal level of functional fitness and according to the norm, they are included in the below average group. Due to the fact that the subjects are students of the Faculty of Sports, future adepts of special units, the results found are negative. From a health point of view, we found that the probands do not pay attention to their functional fitness, which is not correct with regard to their future profession. We note that the probands do not pay attention to their functional fitness, which is not correct from a health point of view considering the future profession. Based on the results of the research project, we propose a compensation program for the correction of functional disorders. Keywords:
