Abstract:
The main purpose of this paper is to provide a brief overview on the potentiality of online education among college students in the topic of the importance of sleep regime and different light effect on the human body. Due to the global pandemic of COVID-19, there are many restrictions influencing ways of studying. Many colleges had to switch to online educational programs which in practice means that students spend most of their time in front of computer’s displays. Such technologies emit so called “blue light” which can have a negative effect on hormonal balance causing many health or performance related problems. The most common is bad concentration, prone to depression and many others. This issue is closely connected with phases of sleep. Providing a online course that educate students about maintaining circadian rhythms and give them a useful pattern can be advantageous especially during the time when they are required to perform good study results on everyday basis online. Awareness and ways of improving performance through circadian rhythms among students has been one of the main parts of interest of researchers of Faculty of Sports in University of Prešov.
