Abstract:
Leadership is at the core of organizational success and the pandemic and the changed working conditions ranging from fully remote to hybrid work have once more reminded us of the importance of this topic.

While a lot of the current academic discussion focusses on Leadership for sustainable corporate development, to my understanding the aspect of creating a sustainable organizational culture in virtually collaborating organisations has not yet been highlighted sufficiently. How do successful Leaders create a functional organizational culture while employees are working remotely? What indicators can be taken and measured in order to provide adequate Leadership analytics in this context? Can we assume a connection to reporting requirements on Environment, Social and Governance aspects required by the EUs sustainable development goals for companies? The proposed contribution provides a research agenda highlighting also implications for practitioners.

Last but not least it also reflects on teaching sustainable Leadership skills at universities and in corporate settings and provides a reflection on software aspects and future developments of collaboration and corporate culture development in metaverse and the student aswell as the employee experience.
