Abstract:
Opinion analysis is one of the great achievements of the last decade in the field of language technologies, and one of the most active research areas in natural language processing. Care about the opinion in the process of taking decision had become a critical element for the success of this operation. Therefore, this technology is introduced in several fields like education.

In this paper, we present an orientation process based on opinion analysis destined to the secondary school pupil. This proposition aims to improve the quality of the university or professional orientation at the end of the secondary school cycle, based on the school evaluation, aptitudes and opinions of the pupil, in the choice of their study discipline. This process is realized to collect, periodically, opinions of secondary school pupils, relative to the subjects taught. In order to do that, surveys are organized to get formatted opinions through scale evaluation questions and free opinion over open ended questions. The formatted opinion will be analyzed with statistics methods, among others. The free opinion, for its part, will use sentiments analysis methods to extract the polarity of the feeling toward each subject taught.
The outputs of this analysis are synthesized to result into opinion value to each university or professional domain studies. This opinion value together with school assessment and aptitudes are exploited to guide pupils towards the most favorable discipline. To evaluate our proposition we shall use a set of tests. The validation on real data is ongoing.
