Abstract:
Nowadays there is an obvious lack of translation teaching resources such as books, scientific articles or monographs. Nevertheless, university teachers are faced with the challenge that students translation teaching should have a resilient methodology. Translation teaching is supposed to be guided by some academic principles. Thus, finding out the key trends in teaching translation research field is ultimately acute.

The subject of the research is Scopus articles database for the past 10 years covering the material concerning translation teaching. The first limitation of this research is the sampling from one database. The second limitation is that the research is based only on the articles in scientific magazines published for the past decade.

The aim of the article is to reveal the most acute issues in the research field, namely:
1) the main trends in teaching translation;
2) associated fields and topics.

The methods applied are: search strategies, sampling, content analysis and categorization.

The findings of this survey imply that not enough attention is paid by methodologists and teachers to teaching translation in high school and the the selected Scopus publications on this topic are scarce and not totally relevant to the research.
