Abstract:
Audition is considered one of the most important aspects of foreign teaching. It is closely connected with speaking and mastering both of the activities allows to acquire and generate skills of foreign oral speech and presentation.

The article analyzez the inportance of audition in studying a foreign language in high school, as well as different methods of teaching it at different levels of the language awareness. The authors of the article explore the procedure of authentic speech perception, the difficulties of teaching audition and ways to overcome them.

The subject of the research is different levels of perception of authentic speech by the students.

The purpose of the research is working out adequate training activities and exercises to overcome the arising difficulties of decoding the information.

The methods applied are the following: methods of studying and summarizing various theoretical data, descriptive statistics, comparative analysis.

The authors come to the conclusion that a balanced utilization of modern thechnologies on par with individually adjusted audio material and relevant assignments provide a better and deeper information perception.
