Abstract:
In the recent period, there has been an active spread of moralizing messages in the public sphere, including in educational institutions, which form an understanding of how we must carefully contour our bodies in order to be productive. However, paradoxically, this neoliberal approach in modern postmodern society often emphasizes the body as a symbol of a good life or a hedonistic field of practice. It is as if the body is turned into a commercial product, appealing to the desire to be desired, and whether the individual will be dignified, responsible, reliable remains a secondary aspect.
Therefore, the purpose of the report is to identify the factors that determine the decontextualization of body perception in modern society. The intervention of the image industry contributes to the formation of a paranoid attitude that raises the issue of "body appearance" closely related to a healthy lifestyle. Life with one's body often turns into "life for the body", and the cult of the body promoted by the media and fashion industries in modern society has paradoxically narrowed the border between a healthy lifestyle and pathology. Moreover, in the category of psychological diseases, anorexia nervosa has the highest number of deaths worldwide. This especially applies to the teenage age group. Therefore, it inevitably becomes important to include a biological basis in education – biopedagogy.
Biopedagogy must open up opportunities to develop awareness of how our experiences and decisions about our bodies are related to the shaping of the body in society. Therefore, it is necessary to form a space for creative thinking about how to promote respect for the body and solve body and food problems, without avoiding to carry out changes together with collectives, communities and to reduce the dissonance between real and ideal body strategies.
Systematic data analysis was used for data collection, and content analysis method was used for data analysis. During the presentation, the more abstract dimensions that emerged during the research will be presented, and the detailed dimensions will be presented later in the article. Keywords:
