Abstract:
It is obvious that for optimum recognition of any phenomenon, there is need to consider and review it as holistic, interactive and systematic. Adult education isn’t exceptional of this case; hence for better understanding of nature and philosophy of adult education, we have to consider it in relation to external influencing forces. Adult Education is a core element of society, and the foundation of democratic choice. In other words, education is a major concern for all societies, the foundation and essential driving force of economic, social, and human development and is at the heart of the change in the areas of science, technology, economics, and culture. Nowadays, one of the challenging issues is globalization that , not only its impacts in cultural, social, economic and political domains are apparent, but also can influence on nature, philosophy and performance of adult education. Globalization is a process of interaction and integration among the people, companies, and governments of different nations. The impact of globalization on culture and educational system is a major concern. The methodology of this paper is descriptive-analytical and its main purpose is determination the positive and negative impacts of globalization on adult education for developing countries such as Iran.
