Abstract:
Two years ago, competency development was implemented with the incorporation of the new Basic Document on Energy Saving of the Technical Building Code (CTE-DB-HE) into the “Fundamentals of Thermal Engineering” course for the Degrees in Industrial Engineering at the University of La Rioja by applying it during guided group work. Subsequently, in the last year, the development of professional skills was implemented with the learning of the new CTE-DB-HE and the evaluation of this learning through a deliverable practice. This course incorporated instruments for the self-assessment of knowledge and skills associated with the new CTE-DB-HE. In this way, the course is expected to continue the path started in previous courses and to complement all of the innovations that were carried out and incorporated.
The tools developed for the self-assessment of knowledge and skills associated with the new CTE-DB-HE consist of a series of exams administered in the course’s virtual classroom. These exams allow students to be aware of their learning progress and provide them with valuable feedback for preparing the deliverable practice associated with the new CTE-DB-HE. It is expected that these tools will help students perform more satisfactorily in both the guided group work and the deliverable practice associated with the new CTE-DB-HE, thereby improving the teaching-learning processes and the students’ results. Keywords:
