Abstract:
Content curation in education has become a valuable practice for facilitating learning and providing meaningful resources to students. It is a methodology that offers many advantages as it allows for the collection of educational resources, organization of information, support for research, encouragement of participation, and promotion of critical thinking.

The integration of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the university setting is an important practice that seeks to contribute to the achievement of sustainable goals globally. Different strategies are being implemented in Andalusian universities, such as designing study programs that include content related to the SDGs, developing specific subjects dedicated to sustainability and sustainable development, and promoting interdisciplinary approaches to address complex issues from various perspectives.

In line with these strategies, content curation can play a significant role in promoting and disseminating information related to the Sustainable Development Goals. It can be a powerful tool to amplify and facilitate access to valuable information, thereby helping to build an informed community committed to sustainability.

Therefore, this teaching innovation project is presented with the aim of using content curation to address the SDGs in subjects within the Materials Science area at the Higher Polytechnic School of Jaén (Spain).

This work outlines the methodology for incorporating the SDGs through the implementation of content curation experiences with students in the Materials Science and Engineering subject at the University of Jaén. To achieve this, activities were proposed using digital tools related to the four steps of content curation: search, select, sense-making, and share. As evaluation tools, a rubric and a questionnaire on digital tools are proposed. The work focused on SDGs 9, 11, 12, and 13, identified as the most relevant to the subject area.
