Abstract:
During three academic years, The Entrepreneurship Promotion Programs have been developed to promote entrepreneurship among engineering students at the University of Jaén. After the activities, it has been found that the motivation of students towards entrepreneurship can be influenced and that this motivation is also influenced by personal and external factors [1].

In this work, it has been evaluated by means of questionnaires if the motivation (MO) of the students towards the themes of entrepreneurship is related to the Business intention (BI) considered this as the real disposition to create a company. For this, the Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO) test was used to establish whether the grouping of variables in the questionnaire gives rise to consistent factors. Next, the relationship between student motivation and the Business intention (BI) was established as a hypothesis. For its verification, the Pearson linear correlation method was used. The results indicate that the relationship between BI and MO is only significant for high BI values.

This fact could be explained because this BI factor encompasses the real intention to start a business. Students distinguish between what is the feeling of undertaking, innovate in ideas and projects and the reality of creating a company. This fact, it is necessary to be studied in greater depth and implement activities within the Entrepreneurship Promotion Programs that allow establishing a direct relationship between MO and BI.
