Abstract:
Academic research projects are appropriate instruments to complete academic training in areas considered relevant and even strategic from a training point of view. In this sense, they can be considered a relevant means to introduce a more practical vision of the discipline studied, especially focused on the implementation of the values of sustainability. Specifically, this possibility has been explored in the legal field so that the values resulting from the seventeen Sustainable Development Goals could be introduced in the analysis of the law on which the object of the Academic Research Project lies, as far as possible. With this, it is intended that students become aware of sustainability in relation to the subject of their research, and that it serves as an incentive for the improvement of practical skills, such as those related to the analysis of the case, achieving a critical thinking regarding the regulations. This action aims to have an additional value consisting in easing the transfer of these values to society in a medium term, since students trained on sustainability are expected to be able to apply this same criterion in their future professional activity. The paper shows the keys for including and encouraging the parameters of sustainability in academic research projects. Keywords:
