Abstract:
Digital transformation has been a crucial element in improving operational processes and increasing company productivity. However, there are still many challenges to promote the digital transformation in the industry context, for instance, the qualification of professionals with the necessary skills to develop complex solutions and disseminate the digital culture within the industry. In Manaus Industrial Hub, an educational program with an immersive learning methogology was conducted, the DX Academy, with the main goal to qualify professionals with competencies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to optimize processes and reduce costs in business areas.
The project involved experimental studies to map technical skills and learning gaps, using the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) approach to address practical challenges. A total of 20 participants were selected, including graduated and undergratuated students in technology courses. They learned disciplines related to Software Engineering, AI and RPAs, applying that knowledge to solve real-world company problems. This immersive approach provided valuable insights into operational processes and their automation. As a result, a detailed mapping of technical skill improvements was created, reflecting the participants' enhanced performance.
In addition to its educational impact, the project led to the development of approximately 40 RPA solutions, directly applied to optimize and improve processes within a company in the Manaus Industrial District. This effort established an ecosystem supporting the company’s business areas and fostered the generation of new software technologies, showcasing the methodology's potential to drive technological and strategic innovation in the region. Keywords:
