Abstract:
Technology is a fundamental pillar for the socioeconomic development of people and its influence on education allows to further expand the knowledge of geographical borders, physical spaces and social conditions, it tries to forge an inclusive education that allows access to science in a way free and open form, revolutionizing the way of teaching and learning. This research analyzes Webinars as a new methodological strategy in Ecuadorian Higher Education in times of COVID 19; A descriptive study was carried out with a mixed, qualitative-quantitative approach, with the participation of 120 students and 12 teachers of the first and second semesters in the subject of Office automation at the School of Veterinary Medicine of the Agrarian University of Ecuador; A structured questionnaire of 12 questions and 5 items was applied. The results showed that 89% of the students improved their academic performance, 75% agreed that this modality allows to reinforce knowledge. It was concluded that webinars have a high acceptance in the university community, their application promotes the improvement of individual and community performance, so it is necessary to implement institutional policies that allow their formal implementation in the curriculum of the Veterinary Medicine career at the Agricultural University of Ecuador.
