Abstract:
Technical courses are a particular category of the Brazilian Education System and aim to train students with theoretical and mainly practical knowledge in various activities in the productive sector, training them for the job market, some articulated with High School or subsequent to it. This study, conducted by a group of researchers in the field of psychology, was carried out in a school that offered a technical course in Business Administration. Through a diagnostic interview with the coordinator and the students currently in the course, it was identified that there were conflicts between the students, mainly between the older students, who were either specializing or changing areas, and the younger students, who had just left high school and starting their careers. With this, a psychological intervention was proposed to the school with the objective of minimizing these conflicts using recreational activities that could result in better interactions between the students. At first, an initial engagement group dynamic was carried out, with the primary objective of relaxation and a lowering of defences, then a group activity was carried out that consisted of the development of a game or recreational activity that should be created and applied by the group, for themselves. At the end of the process, this same group should replicate the game created for other students, as well as, in the future, replicate the entire process with new students. As a result, we expected students to be more inclined to listen to peers, regardless of age differences. What was observed during the dynamics was a mutual collaboration among the pairs in a collaborative effort to generate the proposed objectives without, however, having any problems with communication with the younger and older students. Thus, it was concluded that the intervention reached the proposed initial objective. Keywords:
