Abstract:
The COVID19 wave has hit the world society. In many countries, the reality of everyday life has shifted to a virtual environment. The same was true in the Czech Republic. The wave of the disease tested society's preparedness for crisis situations and fundamentally changed the order of values for many. The society appreciated the importance of discriminated professions - it turned out that health workers, firefighters, police officers and especially social workers are very important. The COVID19 intervention also affected the training of future social workers in Hradec Králové. A fundamental issue today is the possibilities of teaching in a virtual environment. Many fields can easily use distance learning. The issue of online teaching is gaining importance especially in helping professions, mainly in social work, where the emphasis is on interactive face-to-face teaching. Teachers were faced with the question: can teaching be effective in the field of social work as well? Can personal meetings of the learner be replaced by pupils under certain conditions? The article deals with available software and necessary hardware equipment for online education of social workers. It describes their functionality, availability and gives examples of good practice in teaching at University of Hradec Králové, including the evaluation of participants in education. Keywords:
