Abstract:
Future managers need a lot of knowledge to work and live in an increasingly globalized business world. One of the most vital knowledge is readiness for business correspondence with partners. Managers should know not only about the types of business letters, style and content, but also how to handle them in an everyday business situation. This is why it is important for students to be taught to write a good business letter. According to our research less attention has been paid to the urgent need to correspond in English. Business appointments, negotiations involve extensive correspondence. So we developed and implemented the model of forming the future managers’ readiness for business correspondence in the educational process of the university. To implement the model and evaluate its effectiveness, a forming experiment was conducted. In the control groups, the lessons were conducted traditionally, and in the experimental groups - according to the methodology developed by us. The experimental methodology consists in the implementation of a specially organized educational and pedagogical interaction (communication) oriented towards the formation of the readiness of future managers for business correspondence with partners. The purpose of educational and pedagogical communication is the formation of the willingness of future managers to business correspondence with partners, encouraging them to write various types of letters, performing various activities aimed at developing readiness for business correspondence in the professional activities of a manager. Taking a system approach, competence-based and interdisciplinary approaches, the model specifies the forms and methods of interaction between participants and lecturers that will meet their communicative needs. It aims not only to teach specific competences such as writing formal letters, but also to develop the ability to recognize different communicative situations.
