Abstract:
The relevance of the problem lies in the fact that modern reality makes higher demands on the level of practical knowledge of a foreign language. In this regard, in recent years, the use of information technologies in the university has become more and more widespread, representing both modern technical means and new approaches to the learning process. The purpose of the article is to review and describe the educational opportunities of applying innovative technologies in teaching a foreign language. The goal of learning a foreign language is formation and development of the communicative culture of students. The task of the university teacher is to create all conditions for the practical knowledge of the language for each student. This presupposes the choice of such methods of instruction that would allow students to show their activity and creativity. The methods of the research are theoretical analysis of psychological and educational literature on the use of innovative technologies in teaching a foreign language; study and summarize best practices; observation. The results of the research show that today the teachers are led by the principle of variability, which contributes to the construction of the pedagogical process for any educational model. The results of the article can be applied in the practice of teaching a foreign language.
