Abstract:
This article focuses on innovative approaches using virtual reality and active exercises in the teaching of risk management and OSH during an Erasmus+ internship. Students had the opportunity to try out dynamic scenarios in a virtual environment, which allowed them to see simulated, real situations and practically apply their knowledge in the field of health and safety. These innovative methods not only strengthen their problem-solving and risk-analysis skills, but also encourage their creativity and active participation in the learning process. The results show that the combination of virtual reality and active exercises creates an environment that stimulates students' interest and improves their problem-solving skills in the field of risk management and health and safety. For students of the French University IUT Besançon-Vesoul - Pôle universitaire de Vesoul | Université de Franche-Comté, I prepared several activating exercises to increase activity and creativity in classes. The first activating exercise was focused on the field of health and safety, where I prepared a case study for risk assessment within a specific job position. The second activating exercise was aimed at creating concept maps on topics from risk management, where primarily the students had to describe the causes, course and consequences of an emergency. The third activating exercise was focused on work in individual teams and their rotation on the topic of the environment. Students also used virtual reality in every lesson, where they had the opportunity to try scenarios from the field of healthcare. The benefit of the Erasmus+ internship for me was not only the teaching of students, but also the teaching in which I participated as a student. The aim of the article is primarily to describe activating exercises and the use of virtual reality as part of the educational process.
