Abstract:
The learning management system Moodle has been used at the College of Polytechnics Jihlava (Czech Republic) for more than ten years. While it was originally implemented mainly to provide study materials for part-time students, its usage gradually expanded into full-time programmes as well, particularly during the COVID-19 restrictions, when online learning became essential. Building on these long-term experiences with LMS Moodle, the study compares how full-time and part-time students at the College of Polytechnics Jihlava work with online learning materials. The analysis focuses on the frequency and timing of their engagement with multimedia content, interactive activities, and formative assessments. Data from selected academic years are used to identify differences across study programmes and to highlight distinct patterns in the use of online resources. The findings provide insights into the specific needs of both student groups and offer a basis for targeted improvements in e-learning support as well as for optimising hybrid and distance learning. Keywords:
