Abstract:
Individuals’ connection with the nature is one of the most important topic in the field of the environmental education research. The paper deals with the undergraduate students in the Czech Republic and their relationship with nature. The design of the research is quantitative, using The Nature relatedness scale (Nisbet et al., 2008) as well as its shorter version, NR-6 (Nisbet & Zelenski, 2013). The respondents came from three different fields of study: pre-school education, leisure time education and socio-educational assistance. All the data were analyzed using advanced statistical methods. The results shows: i) statistically significant differences among these three groups, ii) statistically significant differences regarding socio-demographical background of students, iii) possibilities and limits of usage of the Nature relatedness scale and NR-6 among undergraduate students in the Czech Republic.
